Rayzon Solar is performing the Bhumi Pujan ceremony for a 3.5GW solar cell manufacturing plant in Kosamba, marking a new era in clean energy

Rayzon Solar Breaks Ground on 3.5GW Solar Cell Manufacturing Plant in Kosamba: A Giant Leap Toward Energy Independence

On May 14, 2025, a remarkable and emotional moment unfolded for everyone at Rayzon Solar. The Bhumi Pujan ceremony for our upcoming solar cell manufacturing unit in Kosamba, Surat wasn’t just a ceremonial tradition, it was the foundation of a future we’ve envisioned for years. It was the beginning of a bold new chapter, where we go beyond assembling solar panels to creating their very core, solar cells, right here in India.

With a massive 3.5GW production capacity planned for this facility using cutting-edge TOPCon technology, this plant marks a defining step toward our long-term goal of becoming a truly self-reliant and vertically integrated solar energy powerhouse. Production is scheduled to begin by November 2026 and from that point, Rayzon Solar will proudly operate as a solar cell-to-module manufacturer, controlling the entire quality chain, advancing R&D and setting new benchmarks for efficiency and innovation.

Founded just eight years ago with a mission to accelerate the clean energy revolution in India, Rayzon Solar has grown into one of the top 5 solar panel manufacturers in the country. What makes this milestone so unique is not just the technology or scale, it’s the speed, heart and vision that brought us here. While many players in the industry have had decades, Rayzon’s rise has been swift and meaningful, powered by passion, planning and the unshakable trust of our customers, partners and team.

The solar cell plant represents more than industrial growth, it’s a symbol of India’s energy future. In alignment with the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision, this project contributes directly to the goal of energy independence by 2030. It’s about bringing solar cell production home, reducing reliance on imports and fostering a future where every component of solar power is proudly made in India. It’s about job creation, technological advancement and most importantly, environmental stewardship.

The journey to this day has been filled with many proud moments, from our partnerships with IPL giants like Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans, to co-founder Chirag Nakrani’s appearance on Shark Tank India, which helped us reach millions and turn the solar energy conversation into a household discussion. These achievements haven’t just built awareness, they’ve sparked curiosity, confidence and widespread adoption of clean energy across the country.

Rayzon’s presence today goes beyond solar panels. We’ve become a symbol of innovation and integrity in India’s renewable energy landscape. The Bhumi Pujan was attended by industry stakeholders, local leaders and our passionate team who have poured their dedication into this dream. With prayers, flowers and a shared vision, we laid the foundation stone that will soon become a high-tech hub of solar cell excellence.

Our founder, Hardik Kothiya, summed it up perfectly when he said, Rayzon is not just into clean energy solutions; we are here to inspire change. And that’s exactly what this project represents. It’s not just about being a manufacturer, it’s about being a movement. A movement that encourages every household, every business and every young dreamer to believe in the power of the sun and the promise of a sustainable tomorrow.

As we look ahead to the plant’s inauguration later this year, we carry with us the hopes of a greener India and the responsibility to lead by example. From vision to reality, Rayzon Solar’s journey continues, driven by innovation, rooted in sustainability and guided by a singular goal: to power the world with clean energy, made in India, for the world.
